Subject: BAUDL Executive Director search - please spread the word
Hey, all - true appreciations for all you do.
I wanted to make sure to send you the position description for the executive director of the Bay Area Urban Debate League. This will be a deeply meaningful, well-paid position with an organization that is already making a difference in the lives of a lot of young people, already training a few hundred students to speak their minds powerfully on key political issues and poised to impact many more.
We are particularly looking for a mix of commitment to our mission, success with fundraising and youth work, and the commitment and experience to sustain and build a transformative program over time. Experience in debate is a plus, but it is not necessary. The person we eventually choose will have the backing of a full-time program director and a network of committed board members and volunteers to work with them in pushing through an ambitious vision that they help create.
So please do spread the word far and wide. We have made the best of both worlds here - a deeply meaningful job with a good work environment that actually pays well - but we need to find good applicants in order to make this work.
